Amsterdam Countryside Tour

In about 4 hours we’ll offer lots of advice and insider tips and help you develop a great sense of orientation. We begin with a historical introduction covering the city from its founding in 1275 up to the present day. In the city we give you a run down on skinny bridges, crooked buildings and bike filled canals. Naturally we will also answer all your questions regarding the “vices” that are readily available in Amsterdam. The majority of the tour is spent riding along the Amstel River beyond the edge of town where we’ll pass by funky houseboats, rowing clubs and people fishing. Then we’ll show you one of the few remaining authentic windmills and visit an entertaining Dutch farmer at his cheese farm/clog factory, where he will demonstrate the traditional art of making wooden shoes. You can also have some free samples of authentic Dutch cheese, try on wooden shoes and go cow tipping (if you can catch them). Coming back into town we go through parks like the Beatrix and Vondel park before finishing. Important: The price for students is €19,-
